Coming up against rangy 3-4 OLBs is going to be trouble for a guy who's proven kind of flat footed this year. Otherwise, yes, the offensive line has held up pretty well in pass pro, but Diaco is a blitz-mad defensive coordinator which doesn't bode well for an offensive line that is just starting to gel.Chris Gaerighttp://www.burgeoningwolverinestar.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8059884704776101239.post-27634602675933756332012-09-21T12:07:11.112-04:002012-09-21T12:07:11.112-04:00Good preview, and I agree with a large chunk of yo...Good preview, and I agree with a large chunk of your points.

One point of clarification - if you disaggregate the performance of Michigan's offensive line this year, I think your (our) worry would be on the run blocking side rather than pass-blocking; the pass protection has been pretty good this year, and even held up OK against Alabama (see mgoblog's offensive UFR of the game - 72%).

So the pessimism against Notre Dame should (in my opinion) be relegated to the run game - specifically the non-Denard run game. I have some degree of confidence that our offensive line can hold up against ND's front seven in the passing game.Jivas Chakravarthynoreply@blogger.com
